Underground Parking Garage

With all the traffic and clutter in corniche el mazraa, residents always found themselves looking for a place to park their cars. This causes a lot of stress and may trigger people to get fed up, and find an alternative place to live. That is why my concept was inspired by the screw. Why the screw? Because it is something that holds things together and keeps them in place, exactly what the function of this parking is. This solution to the never-ending problem of unavailable parking spaces will make people feel more at ease in the area, and it will keep them from leaving it. To inspire people to feel more belonging towards the area, my design provides another function which is a green park. Something that is rare in Beirut. That way the solution of parking trouble and the added value of a green space encourages people to stay, and feel a strong bond towards the area.
